About
CALLING ALL MONTY PYTHON FANS! Comedy Legends MICHAEL PALIN and TERRY GILLIAM will be in Colwyn Bay on SATURDAY 25th APRIL for a very special celebration to unveil an exciting new statue of their old friend and fellow Python Terry Jones.
Grab your knotted hankie and join us for a Python-esque afternoon of silliness culminating in a suitably anarchic unveiling!
From 12-4pm Colwyn Bay Beach will be taken over by marauding Vikings, Knights and their coconut-clopping Squires, a recreation of the ‘Spam Cafe’ set, and even a ‘Silly Olympics’ for you to compete in. Come dressed as anything Terry or Python, with prizes of official merchandise, donated by Monty Python themselves, for the most imaginative costumes.
There will be lots to see and do for fans and families alike with storytelling, music and the smallest cinema in the solar system! All leading up to a super, special anarchic unveiling at 3pm.
Hosted by Theatr Colwyn and Conwy Arts Trust, this event is FREE and we invite you all to come along, bring the family and enjoy a great big party on the beach.
This event has been made possible with generous donations from Arts Council of Wales, Bay of Colwyn Town Council and the family of Terry Jones.
